[Update 12 Apr 2023] Good news for those who missed out on the initial release! Nike SNKRS is restocking the highly coveted Air Jordan 1 “Chicago Reimagined/Lost and Found” next week, as per Complex. Additionally, Jordan Brand teased the re-release on the app, creating a poll that humorously asked what users would do if they restocked the “Chicago Reimagined” next week. Unfortunately, at present time, it’s unconfirmed if the restock is on a global basis or only in the US. Keep an eye out for this page as we’ll keep you updated if the pair hits other shores worldwide!

[Update 12 Oct] Official images have finally surfaced along with some on-feet photos courtesy of @yankeekicks! Once again, a release date has been scheduled for 19th November on SNKRS with a price tag of US$180. It’s been awhile since the pair was first teased and with these official photos going live, the chance to finally acquire the pair seems imminent. And it’s also believed that about 500,000 pairs will be produced and distributed.

[Update 16 Aug] What we used to identify as the “Chicago Reimagined” has been officially renamed to “Lost & Found”. The Air Jordan 1 is indubitably the most storied sneaker of all, and the packaging does as much to tell it. Aside from the weathered aesthetic of the shoe itself and the shoebox, the wrap-around paper pays homage to the mom and pop shops where these deadstock pairs are usually left to age. On it, is a gallery of old newspaper ads of the AJ1s during its promotional campaign in the ’80s. There’s also a replica of a handwritten receipt detailing a mock purchase. The application of the motif is well-rounded from the product to presentation. Undoubtedly, the collector’s value of these will be high, which could also reduce the desire to actually wear them.

[Update 10 Aug] Ever seen those clips of Jordan posting up players bigger than him, pushing them back? Yeah, because so is the release date. It’s being pushed back from October to November 19th, tentatively.

[Update 1 Aug] As we anticipate the October release of this highly-coveted sneakers, information has surfaced that the Chicago Reimagined will come in full-family sizing too. In addition, new images also confirm that the pair will arrive in a weathered-style shoebox as seen on the images below.

[Update 13 Jun 2022] Over the weekend, we were treated to another round of leaked images of the Nike Air Jordan 1 High Chicago “Reimagined”. This time, there are both on-foot photos and close-ups of the make of the Chicago “Reimagined”. It is also reported that Nike will only be releasing 100,000 pairs of the shoe in total.

True to rumors circling the sneaker community, the 2022 version of the AJ1 High Chicago sneaker sports a decidedly pre-aged look, with cracked leather uppers and yellowed muslin tongue and soles. Is the long-awaited Air Jordan 1 “Chicago” color coming back in vintage specs!?

The “Air Jordan 1 Chicago,” a symbol of modern sneaker culture and the dream of many sneakerheads, is finally coming back. The “AJ1 Chicago” made its debut on November 17, 1984, as the signature shoe of Michael Jordan, the god of sneakers, in a game against the Sixers led by Dr. J. The “AJ1 Chicago” was the first shoe to be released in the United States. After the vintage boom in the early 1990s, the shoes were reissued in 1994 at first time. In 2013, the “Air Jordan 1 Retro High” was reissued with the Jumpman logo on the tongue label, and two years later in 2015, the “Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG” was reissued for the fourth time in the original shoe box.

Seven years later, after a long silence, the AJ1 “Chicago” is finally coming back to the sneaker scene, which has changed dramatically. Current information suggests that the “85” version, which recreates the original silhouette, may have been further aged to give it a more vintage-like appearance. The original 1985 version is currently priced at around $50,000, and a pair with that look and feel would surely be one of the most sought-after releases in recent years.
The pair will be released during the holiday season of 2022.
