1. About Gnarhunters x Nike SB Dunk Low “Black/White”

Born in 1975, Elissa Steamer is a pioneer female skater and a member of the Nike SB team. 2013 saw the launch of her project “Gnarhunters”, which is a collection of skate shoes designed by female skaters. The project has released products for both skateboarders and surfers, following closely to their concept “…skateboarding came from surfing…”. In 2019, the brand teamed up with Nike and dropped the Nike SB Zoom Blazer Mid. Now, they’ve come back together to take Gnarhunters to the most popular silhouette of today.

The “SB Dunk,” a leader in the modern sneaker scene, is reconfigured in the same black base as its Blazer Mid predecessor. The toe and heel are made of thick nylon, while the upper, side panels, and ankle are made of pile. The Swoosh appears to be removable in a rough, hard-textured nylon. The “Gnarhunters” logo is placed on the tongue, while the “GNAR” logo is placed on the heel tab. The round, thin laces and yellow graphics on the insole are reminiscent of the early SBs.
