Drake Teases Nike NOCTA Air Zoom Flight 95 Inspired Sneaker
The rapper was also emcee of the Maxim Awards at Nike's Just Do It Day.
Drake has teased a NOCTA and Nike collaboration with an Air Zoom Flight 95 inspired shoe. A sneak peek of a white colorway was shown in his recent post on the brand’s Just Do It Day at its Oregon headquarters last Thursday. A crimson and black colorway is teased in the photo as well. The sample was first spotted on the rapper himself while he was sitting courtside at a Toronto Raptors game back in April.
The rumored sneaker seems to take after the Air Zoom Flight 95 with its similar carbon fiber color scheme and silhouette. The Zoom Flight’s silver ellipsed bug eyes are here to stay as well, with the NOCTA rendition having 4 on either side of the shoe. The sample spotted on Drake seemed to have lower modified midsoles, losing the Zoom Flight’s wavy midsole shape. The uppers and tongues of the silhouette seem to take reference from the Air Pippen 1. “NIKE” is printed on the eyelets and silver tags are featured on the heel above the midsole.
Last seen in 2017, the Air Zoom Flight 95 made a comeback in the OG black metallic colorway earlier this year. Fans of this model can rejoice and anticipate with this new NOCTA collaboration. The basketball shoe was made famous by Jason Kidd circa mid-1990s.
