Nike SB Dunk Low is riding the Paisley wave in an all-new “Brown Paisley” colourway!

For a traditional pattern that originated in ancient Indian and Persian civilisations, Paisley designs have come a long way. Though it’s been a recurring motif in fashion for centuries, it has undergone several phases of contemporary popularisation, kickstarted by The Beatles during their global takeover of pop culture in the 1960s.

Today, it’s hard to tell who’s playing the main part in bringing paisley patterns back into the spotlight, but many notable figures and brands have been pushing paisley prints back onto their apparel and footwear. For example, check out Travis Scott’s first ever Nike Dunk Low and Anderson .Paak’s Vans Authentic sneakers. Now, it’s making its way onto the Nike SB Dunk Low Pro silhouette as a Premium colourway.

The Nike SB Dunk is a skateboarding version of the Nike Dunk. As a silhouette with excellent comfort, cushioning, durability and support, it was perfect for skateboarders who needed to put their shoes through a beating on the tarmac. Once the simple yet iconic design was paired with improved durability and cushioning in the Nike SB Dunk, it was a recipe for success, amassing a enormous amount of popularity and hype even 20 years after its initial release.

Their newest “Brown Paisley” colourway consists of a brown base with a vibrant pink, green and turquoise paisley pattern covering the entire upper. A white textured leather Swoosh breaks up the pattern, while thick laces tie down the SB Dunk Pro’s utility. Overall, the combined brown and paisley prints result in a design that is both calm and vibrant, guaranteed to draw attention at the skate park.
