Nike’s Air Jordan 1 series is a 1985 court icon and the signature model of Michael Jordan, crowning it as the sneaker scene’s royalty. Its popularity in today’s age is undeniable, and it is no wonder that the Swoosh team constantly pushes out new colorways on the silhouette.

Following up a quieter “Stealth” colorway, the Nike team is slated to drop a Fall-ready Air Jordan 1 High OG titled “Heirloom”. With a moniker that’s an obvious nod to the model’s legacy, it’s surprising how refreshing the makeup is. Though usual Air Jordan 1s are constructed of primarily leather, this Heirloom edition challenges the notion with a predominantly black twill upper. Premium Vachetta Tan leather appear as overlays on the heel and forefoot. Such colorblocking is reminiscent of the Mocha Air Jordan 1s.

Branding appears on their expected areas: the Wings logo is embossed onto the collar while Nike Air branding lands on the tongue tag. A white midsole and tan outsole completes the look.
