[Update 27 Mar 2023] The upcoming atmos x Salomon XT-6 receives an official name and a date of arrival. Based off the concept of a celestial collision and aptly named “Stars Collide”, the collaborative sneaker is set to land with a bang at atmos on 8 April.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On “Stars Collide”, the trendy Salomon model celebrating its 10th anniversary gets the atmos’ star pattern treatment. Atop the speckled midsole, tiny grey stars can be spotted adorning the TPU mudguard and film that weaves around the lace unit midfoot. As with most XT-6 collabs, atmos x Salomon co-branding runs across the tongue on the forefoot.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The “Stars Collide” is tagged to a JPY27,500 (~US$209) retail price. Take a first look at the sneaker via the campaign images above while we await the looming arrival of this atmos x Salomon sneaker.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

10 years is short relative to other footwear that have existed for decades. But 10 years is a milestone nonetheless, and it’s one the Salmon XT-6 is celebrating this year. In line with it, comes a collaboration with atmos. Other brands like KITH have used it as a canvas before, but this’s one that gives the oft-austere hiking-trail runner turned lifestyle sneaker a more urban retrofitting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There’s only so much to discern from a singular image, let alone one that solely depicts the rear end. The shoe takes on an obvious greyscale palette. In addition, some of its most notable touches are presented by way of the star-spangled imprints on the heel counter, where a large Salomon branding presides on the medial. Less we forget, the speckled finish on the midsole that’s slightly obscured by parts by the translucent TPU overlays. Lastly, the interior sees a co-branded footbed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the image surfacing on atmos’ network of Instagram accounts, consider this an official acknowledgement that it’s release is imminent, sooner rather than later. When additional information does come to light\u2014eventually, expect to find an update on this very page. Stay tuned!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
