[Update 15 Mar 2023] <\/strong>An\u00a0official launch for the (di)vision x ASICS collection via NAKED COPENHAGEN has been confirmed for 17 March 12pm CET.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Each pair will retail at 177 EUR (~US$190) and all profits will go to\u00a0Right To Play, a global organization that protects, educates, and empowers children to rise above poverty by harnessing the power of sport.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Before the whirlwind of Fashion Week across Paris, Milan, London and New York, Copenhagen’s runways were making viral hits on social media for its innovative displays. Most prominently, CPHFW stood out for its slow strategy\u2014all brands had to adhere to eco-conscious requirements to reduce waste and utilize preferred materials. This added dimension was espoused through various means, and for local house (di)vision, it involved flying cutlery, Linkin Park and other Y2K elements with a touch of disaster.<\/p>\n

Yes, (di)vision is\u00a0that\u00a0<\/em>runway which saw Dahl, the partner of co-founder Simon Wick, donning a “mini skirt” to make a toast… Except, her skirt was not mini at all. It was, in fact, the entire table cloth of where she sat. And when she got up to strut the runway, she brought along all the guests’ cutlery and plates with her. All the while in custom tie-dyed (di)vision x ASICS GEL-NIMBUS 9, which only furthered our intrigue of this AW23 collection.<\/p>\n

ASICS’ collaborative roster has always been sharpened with a high fashion edge, from the likes of Kiko Kostadinov establishing a signature streak<\/a> for the sportswear’s silhouettes to Andersson Bell weaving a fairy tale narrative for the GEL SONOMA 15-50<\/a>. (di)vision, though, focuses on exclusivity for its collaborative effort.<\/p>\n

According to co-founder Simon Wick, the brand reworked 20 pairs of ASICS GEL-NIMBUS 9s and ASICS EX-89s by employing customs dyes, distressing, laces, coloring and unique marks to make them special. Expect to see frayed, jumbo laces, scuffed paint, and (di)vision’s Y2K-esque charms decorating the silhouettes, making each piece seem displaced in time.<\/p>\n

This (di)vision x ASICS collaboration remains true to CPHFW’s AW23 sustainable move, with the Copenhagen-based label pledging to sell these sneakers on Naked Copenhagen<\/a> after they’ve made their way down the runway. All profits will be channelled towards benefitting programs focusing on mental health.<\/p>\n
