We’re hot into Air Max month now and Nike hasn’t let up. More and more Air Maxes are emerging on a weekly basis, with the pinnacle of Air Max releases being the Nike Air Max 1 OG \u201cBig Bubble\u201d<\/a> set to release on Air Max Day itself. One of the brand’s latest offering comes in the form of the Nike Air Max 1 “Slate Blue”.<\/p>\n

Similar to the Air Max 1 “The Bay”<\/a>, the Swoosh brand looks towards the West Coast once more for inspiration, more specifically the Pacific Northwest. Possibly paying homage to the state in which the brand was born in, an Oregon-esque forest graphic comes embroidered on the heel of the Air Max 1.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, the hinterland motif is shown through the color scheme chosen for the uppers. White mesh is chosen as the base, with black suede and Soft Grey nubuck adorn the overlays. Slate Blue accentuates Tinker Hatfield’s design, appearing on the leather vamp and Swoosh logo. A dose of bright red highlights the eyelets, tongue and heel brandings, complimenting the somewhat muted hue with a pop in color.<\/p>\n
