[Update 14 Feb 2023] Supreme has released a preview of their entire upcoming S\/S 2023 collection. It’s an expansive offering of tops, bottoms, and accessories. There currently is no release date nor a price point yet but the images do confirm which ones will feature Kurt Cobain. There’s a sweater with his profile presiding over it, as well as a red tee with his image and Supreme’s serif branding below it. Expect them to appreciate in the secondary market considering his cult status. Whether you intend to wear them or not, fastest fingers first.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It’s been almost three decades since Kurt Cobain passed away at just 27 years old in 1994. By then, he was already an icon, elevated posthumously to cult status. He was one of the most influential people in music and arguably the most in alternative rock. Many years removed and while his name remains familiar, succeeding generations may not know the magnitude of his impact\u2014until now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through an official collaboration with Supreme, it may open doors for them to get acquainted with him and Nirvana, the music and legacy. Although the New York cult brand hasn’t addressed the partnership in any official capacity, the rumor mill purports that the collection will feature the signature photographic t-shirt with the box logo. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many legends have been the subject of the style like Mike Tyson, Nas, Rick Rubin, et al. All of which have become “grails”. But this one of a departed idol may be the cr\u00e8me de la cr\u00e8m<\/span><\/em>e<\/em><\/span>, especially since he was influential in fashion as much as he was in music. <\/span>The motif may land on a skateboard deck as well. They’re all expected to be part of the brand’s S\/S 2023 collection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Little is known about it at the time of writing but when word gets to us, we’ll get them to you. After all, this could be one of Supreme’s biggest drops of the year. Stay tuned!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
