This year, Nike and Jordan Brand are throwing it all the way back to 1985\u2014the year where the Nike Air Jordan 1 Low first debuted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Designed by Peter Moore, the OG Air Jordan 1 Low was introduced alongside its high-top and mid-top siblings as basketball performance sneakers. Two colorways of the AJ1 Low were released in 1985, including a “Neutral Grey” (white and grey) pair that boasted an unique suede on leather construction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Almost four decades later, this “Neutral Grey” colorway will make its comeback during the holiday season. An early look of this retro-release depicts the model in an almost one-to-one remake: an upper featuring smooth white leather topped off with familiar grey Swooshes. The same grey shade also dresses the heel tabs, liners and outsoles; and stamped onto the heel tabs are the Jordan Wings logo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A similar AJ1 “Neutral Grey” was released in 2021 as an homage to the OG, but this upcoming pair will reportedly stay 100% true to Peter Moore’s 1985 vision. To make things even sweeter, 2023’s “Neutral Grey” will also come complete with the original packaging and accessories. A price tag of US$170 has been tagged to the shoe.
