[Update 28 Mar 2023] <\/strong>Official images of the Nike Air Max Scorpion “Air Max Day” have finally landed. Despite its namesake, these Scorpions did not release on 26 March. In fact, the release date is still unknown as of now. That being said, you can take an official look at the pair via the top slider above, including a specially designed graphic insole and an accompanying hangtag to boot. \nLast year, one of the Nike’s thoroughbred celebrated its 35th anniversary. The Nike Air Max, one of Tinker Hatfield’s opuses, has gone through a plethora of transformations over the last three decades; and every 26 March, special editions are released commemorating its inception. For the first time, the Air Max Scorpion joins the pantheon, in celebration of its pedigree.<\/p>\n

Released in 2022, the youngest member of the family gets dressed in vibrant hues and a multi-material mix, hitherto unseen on its contemporaries. The construction remains standard but the motifs are novel. The FlyKnit upper remains but this time adorned with a neon palette of pink, yellow, and green. A color scheme reminiscent of the staples in the mid-2010s.<\/p>\n

Furthermore on the higher arches, chenille textile forms the eyestays, tongue, and ankle collar. But it makes its presence felt most on the lateral Swoosh below; although disparately absent on the medial. The earlier-mentioned neon hues make their way down to the signature sole unit, visible through the translucent midsole.<\/p>\n

The “Air Max Day 2023” remains inconspicuous on the exterior but the party happens inside, on the insoles. There, special commemorative graphics proliferate on the footbed with several nods to “3.26” on one pair, with a sunny day depiction on the other.<\/p>\n

Information is scant at the time of writing, with only leaked images from MasterChefIan’s Twitter<\/a> account as the Rosetta Stone. Fret not, when word gets to us, we’ll be sure to get them to you.<\/p>\n
