[Update 12 Jan 2023] An additional colorway of the New Balance 610T has surfaced\u2014the revived silhouette which deploys the Yue Wu-redesigned lacing system now dons a pastel pink hue. <\/strong>Pink covers the mesh upper and nubuck overlays, with complementary hits of beige and cream appearing around the eyelets and midsole.<\/strong><\/p>\n

No release date has been confirmed for this new colorway, but it shows us the NB 610’s versatility in adapting to different color schemes, and opens up more possibilities for future collaboration projects.<\/strong> Stay tuned for more updates of this latest model from New Balance.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Line\"Late last year, New Balance dug into its archives and brought back the New Balance 610, a trail-running shoe from 2012. Retaining its original tooling and a retrofuturistic aesthetic that’s all the rage now<\/a>, the revived silhouette has all the makings of the next big sneaker.<\/p>\n

Now, it looks like the Boston house is about to turn up the heat\u2014with some help from its star designer Yue Wu. Yue Wu, who’s best known for New Balance’s Refined Future or Protection Pack <\/em>line, posted a series of photos on his Instagram showcasing a couple of reworked NB 610s.<\/p>\n

Right away, one would be able to discern the difference from the OG 610. Replacing the synthethic leather overlays are plush suede that New Balance is increasingly synonymous with. The suede-on-mesh construction helps to spotlight the intricate cut-out overlay design and layering details of the shoe.<\/p>\n

Another area that Yue Wu has applied his magic touch to is the lacing system. In a nod to hiking shoes, Yue shifted the laces all the way down to the toes and swapped regular laces for thinner rope versions. Underfoot, the ridged sole unit features the same C-CAP midsole technology, delivering cushioned support; while pull tabs at the heel and tongue add a utilitarian touch.<\/p>\n

A total of three colorways were previewed by Yue: Grey (grey on brown), Black (brown on charcoal) and White (cream and white). As of the time of writing, some pairs of this updated edition New Balance 610 are already available in Europe at a US$150 price tag. Stay tuned as we bring you the latest release updates.<\/p>\n
