We get a closer look at the tongue tab motifs and the highlight of this silhouette\u2014the gold microphone keychain hangtag. It’s a perfect nod to 50 years of hip-hop along with the rest of the shoes in this pack, and we’re eagerly awaiting the announcement of a release date. While the Bruce Kilgore-designed silhouette Air Force 1 has experienced several overhauls this year for their 40th Anniversary, with notable “Bronx Origins”<\/a> and “Anniversary” editions<\/a> in its offerings. Yet, the Swoosh seems to have more designs up its sleeves, with a Nike Air Force 1 Low “Classics”  Spring 2023 managing to make reference to a relatively untapped concept \u2014 the mixtapes and records of the retro years.<\/p>\n

In this iteration, the Swoosh and heel adopt a worn, “rusted” silver color \u2014 akin to silver plated metals that have been worn by time’s erosion. Contrasting this is a gold microphone hangtag that ties into the theme of classic records. But most prominently, the tongue features cassette tape motifs while a “Parental Advisory”-style Nike AF1 Classics label is stamped onto the grey insole. Rounding out this retrospiration is an intentionally aged and yellowed sole.<\/p>\n

This pair of Nike Air Force 1 “Classics” will be making its drop in Spring 2023. More release details will likely follow then.<\/p>\n
