As a pioneering silhouette, the Blazer Mid has seen both prime and decline in its prevalence on the streets, but has remained firmly an important model within the Swoosh’s collection. If one were to map the Blazer Mid’s significance, they will see it appear in various markets, including basketball courts, skateboarding ramps, weightlifting gyms. More recently, the Blazer Mid has also found prominence as a collaborative canvas within the luxury sector, with partners like Off-White to Comme Des Gar\u00e7ons adding their signature touches to the high-cut shoe.<\/p>\n
But outside of partnerships, Nike also revisits the the model every-so-often with their own reworks, and this upcoming iteration sees the Jumbo Swoosh take on a brown suede that spills slightly onto the midsole. Per the Blazer Mid’s layered construction, a lighter tan brown suede panel rests below the Swoosh. Everywhere else, Sail and White make up the tumbled leather upper while a sock-like collar enhances the textural play of the shoe. A white rubber sole rounds out the design.<\/p>\n
This Nike Blazer Mid ’77 Jumbo “Suede Swoosh” has no firm release dates, but will likely make a retail appearance in 2022. It will be priced at US$110.<\/p>\n
