The versatility of the Air Force 1 has been proven throughout the years that follow its debut, but especially so in Nike’s celebration of the model’s 40th Anniversary. In this year alone, the Bruce Kilgore-designed silhouette has underwent a patent overhaul under UNDEFEATED’s flamboyant hands<\/a>, a gradient revamp<\/a> for the holiday season, and is even ambushed by an extended Swoosh under AMBUSH’s boundary-pushing aesthetic<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Aside from extravagant overhauls, quieter and more utilitarian looks have also joined the Air Force 1’s lineage. Case in point: this Air Force 1 Low “Wolf Grey Nubuck” that’s an easy colorway to add into any rotation, in any season. Swapping out the usual smooth leathers for buttery nubuck, this iteration’s uppers are washed in the market-popular “Wolf Grey” with laces and tongues coming in complementary hues. The leather Swoosh takes on a lighter shade for stylish contrast. Heel overlays, too, share in the leather makeup with standard debossed Nike Air branding. Rounding out the simple design is “Summit” sole units.<\/p>\n
