Celebrations are in order for Moncler’s 70th Anniversary. Its indulgent SS23 runway show employed over a thousand models to dress in the brand’s signature Maya 70 jacket, and this all-white display was strikingly angelic yet contemporary. Moncler ensured that the puffer jacket’s spotlight did not wane after the show, with a series of collaborations with high profile designers.<\/p>\n

The latest of which is the ever intriguing Rick Owens, who reconfigures the Maya 70 with his exaggerated touch. Architecturally quilting the shoulders, a technique found in the designer’s FW2021 collection Gethsemane, the effect achieved is oversized girdered sleeves that lend the versatile Maya 70 an avant-garde touch. The outerwear is also made dual under Rick Owens’ rendering. While the exterior maintains Moncler’s high shine appearance, when flipped, the interior reveals a recycled nylon satin that’s luxuriously smooth to the touch.<\/p>\n
