[Update 3 Nov] <\/strong>A release date of 11th November has officially been announced with an additional Jack Purcell OX joining the lineup. The CLOT x Converse Jack Purcell OX features a hair-on-hide upper, faux fur tongue and rubber toe cap in white shades. After the unveiling of an “Altered Beast” FW2022 collection, Edison Chen’s CLOT is dedicating a month-long campaign to pandas as a way to commemorate International Panda Day in China. The founder puts it best: \u201cBeing able to do something to give love and gain awareness for panda in response to WWF is very important and a part of the new CLOT aesthetic, which is loving and trying to preserve the earth so that the future can enjoy its beauty”.<\/p>\n

Given that going the extra mile is encoded into the brand’s DNA, CLOT has also created a furry panda mascot Ning Ning that would lead the project, which comes complete with the standard fuzzy black\/white look and CLOT’s logo stamped in its left eye. Joining the Hong Kong-based label in this panda-programme is Converse, which has offered up its Chuck Taylor 70 Hi for literal furrification.<\/p>\n

Furthering the Panda Dunks that have captured the hearts of youths, this CLOT x Converse Chuck Taylor 70 takes the panda imitation to greater heights with a white furry upper. Notably, each side of the shoe features a differently textured fuzz \u2014 one side looks neatly brushed while the other is wool-like. Converse’s standard All-Star patch is buried under all the hair and appears to be like a spot on a panda’s back, complementing the solid black tongue. A translucent toe cap discreetly rounds out the look.<\/p>\n

No official release dates have been released, but we expect it to drop in November given the month-long campaign run. In the meantime, why not check out the available pictures featured on Edison Chen’s Instagram<\/a> (aptly accompanied by Desiigner’s iconic Panda lyrics).<\/p>\n
