[Update 9 Jan 2023] While no news of the Gazelle have surfaced, the artist has taken to Instagram to reveal a release date for the Orketro. Set to release on 19th January, the Sean Wotherspoon x adidas Originals Orketro will be made available exclusively via the adidas Confirmed app for 1905 MAD (~US$190). [Update 21 Nov 2022] <\/strong>While little details are confirmed for the Sean Wotherspoon x adidas Gazelle, the artist has taken to his Instagram to tease the silhouette in various colorways alongside a new Orketro model. With “2023 stacking up nicely with the SW Orketro and Gazelles” as the caption, stay tuned for for future updates as these are expected to hit shelves next year.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sean Wotherspoon’s prolific resum\u00e9 of sneaker designs has diversified from his infamous Nike Air Max 97\/1 and tearaway Air Max 1 in 2018 to a whole collection of adidas collaborations. Coming off a fiery high from splashing Hot Wheels colors onto the adidas Superturf Adventure, the multi-hyphenated individual is dangling yet another adidas Gazelle sample in front of sneakerheads, and we aren’t complaining.<\/p>\n

While adidas’ in-line Gazelles tend towards the two-tone look, Sean Wotherspoon’s vision of the model is swathed in a triad of collegiate colors. A Varsity Red corduroy acts as the base of the design and is overlaid with olive green panels with contrast stitching. adidas’ signature Three Stripes are rendered in a creamy white while flat laces take on a mustard yellow. The tongue and heel follows a tightly striped pattern with visible stitching, with Sean Wotherspoon’s banding embroidered in blue at the back. The frayed edges near the stitching, coupled with the well-synergised color combination and patterns, lends the shoe a vintage touch that’s much welcomed in today’s trends.<\/p>\n

Going off Sean Wotherspoon’s cheeky Instagram caption (“should we drop these?!”), we aren’t entirely sure if this iteration will make it out of the woodwork but we sure hope it does. Until then, check out closer looks up in the slider gallery above.<\/p>\n
