[Update 17 Oct] A wave of Palace x Gucci collaboration news and images have come ashore. The expansive collection will come with over 70 offerings.<\/strong><\/p>\n


\n<\/strong>The dual-branded motif appears across the entire collection which consists of tees, hoodies, the earlier-mentioned football jerseys, and brand staple loafers. <\/strong>While the wearable pieces do standout on their own, none quite as much as the Guzzi V7 motorcycle as well as the leather safe box.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The accompanying campaign images depicts the bizarre and the absurd, typical of Palace. The collection will drop on 21st October at Gucci Vault; and in Palace’s London, New York, Los Angeles, and Tokyo locations, as well as at pop-up stores in Paris, Milan, Tokyo, Osaka, and Bangkok. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Skateboarding has always been a “cultural vector”, a subsumption of sport, music, and fashion, amongst many other subcultures. It continues to evolve to this day with a community that’s seeing new degrees of inclusivity, welcoming membership from across all genders, ethnicity, and ages. Thus, attracting the interest of some of the biggest fashion houses.<\/p>\n

Louis Vuitton, Celine, Saint Laurent, as well as Gucci, have before dipped their feet in the water, releasing their own luxury decks. The last, as rumor has it, will dive in once more, this time buoyed by London-based skateboarding and clothing brand Palace. Information on the collection remain obscure at the time of writing, but some leaked images from @horhead_sales<\/a> ascertain its existence.<\/p>\n

The collection will carry both apparel and footwear. Gucci’s staple slides will make an appearance with Palace’s branding emblazoned on the instep strap. As the leaks suggests, there could be two pair of bottoms in the collection too: one indigo with a co-branded, all-over pattern on the top side; the other with a similar motif in a tawny-black palette.<\/p>\n

Upwards, an off-white hoodie is also an offering with the collaboration logo\u2014an amalgam of Palace’s “Tri-Ferg” and Gucci’s “GG” logos\u2014embellished on the breast and an enlarged print of it on the back. The collection then culminates through three sets of football jerseys: in azure, white, and peach. The luxury brand’s logo takes the front, while the skate brand’s at the back.<\/p>\n

The Palace x Gucci collection is rumored to enter the market sometime within the coming months, or the next year. Till then, perhaps the New Balance MADE in USA Season 2 collection<\/a> can pique your interest just as much.<\/p>\n
