Price History (As of January 23, 2026)

The card has debuted with strong “Day 1” momentum. In the Japanese market—often a bellwether for US trends—shops are offering a hefty 50,000 JPY for raw copies in pristine condition.

Why is Mega Zygarde ex MUR Skyrocketing?

1. The Face of ‘Pokémon LEGENDS Z-A’

Mega Zygarde is the centerpiece of the latest title, Pokémon LEGENDS Z-A. While Zygarde was previously known for its 10%, 50%, and Complete Formes, this new “Mega” evolution introduces a massive cannon integrated into its head—a design that has sent the fanbase into a frenzy. As the symbolic legendary of the new era, its collectible appeal is off the charts.

2. The Prestige of the “MUR” Rarity

The MUR (Mythic Ultra Rare) is a high-end rarity characterized by its stunning gold-etched finish across the entire card face. Much like the “Gold Stars” or “Special Illustration Rares” of previous eras, the pull rate for an MUR is notoriously low. Historically, any Pokémon that graces the box art and receives an MUR treatment becomes a must-have for master set collectors.

3. Initial Hype and Supply

With a starting market price exceeding 55,000 JPY, the demand is heavily outweighing the initial supply. Collectors are betting on Zygarde’s long-term relevance in the Kalos lore.
