Why Is This Card Trending? The “MA” Factor

      1. The Debut of the “MA” (Mega Attack) Rarity

Unveiled at the 2025 Pokémon World Championships (August 18, 2025), the “MA” rarity is a fresh visual take for the TCG.

      • The Vibe: It features massive attack names splashed across the artwork with a dynamic, Western comic book aesthetic. It’s a nostalgic nod to the “Mega Evolution” era but with a modern, pop-art twist.

      • The Set: It’s not just Charizard. The set also includes Mega Lucario ex and Mega Gardevoir ex in this style, creating a highly collectible subset that’s blowing up on social media (X/Twitter).

        2. The Undeniable “Charizard Tax”

Let’s be real—Charizard is the king of the secondary market.

To give you context: The Mega Charizard X ex (SAR) from the “Inferno X” set (released Sept 26, 2025) is currently trading around ¥80,000. While the MA version is more accessible, the demand for anything “Charizard” keeps the floor price high.

        3. Tough Pull Rates

Early rumors suggest the “MA” rarity has a pull rate of roughly 1 per Box. However, with about 10 different Pokémon featuring this rarity in the set, sniping specifically the Mega Charizard X is a gamble. This scarcity drives singles prices up, as collectors opt to buy the card outright rather than cracking endless boxes.
