{"id":49866,"date":"2022-10-07T14:55:57","date_gmt":"2022-10-07T06:55:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/snkrdunk.com\/en\/magazine\/?p=49866"},"modified":"2022-10-07T18:05:38","modified_gmt":"2022-10-07T10:05:38","slug":"the-humidity-x-vans-skate-half-cab-sentry-gtx-is-built-for-any-situation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/snkrdunk.com\/en\/magazine\/2022\/10\/07\/the-humidity-x-vans-skate-half-cab-sentry-gtx-is-built-for-any-situation\/","title":{"rendered":"The Humidity x Vans Skate Half Cab Sentry GTX Is \u201cBuilt for ANY Situation\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>New Orleans skate shop Humidity has been serving the community since 1996, and teaming up with Vans, they introduce the Humidity x Vans Skate Half Cab Sentry GTX\u2014an amalgam of some of the latter&#8217;s adjacent styles as well as a complete overhaul of its primary silhouette.<\/p>\n<p>Designed to be &#8220;built for ANY situation,&#8221; the titular shoe comes clothed in full GORE-TEX membrane on the upper; decked in a stealthy black, protected from the rainstorms of its city of origin, ready for the harsh grind of the rails, or a clandestine operation in the middle of the night.<\/p>\n<p>Where other Vans offerings tend to be more ostentatious, Humidity&#8217;s take revels in more austere territory, leaning towards a more tactical-styling: reflective laces and daisy chain heel webbing, along with a Wafflecup sole unit.<\/p>\n<p>Branding elements, however, don&#8217;t hold back as evidenced on the scarlet colors of the Half Cab patch on the heel, and humidity&#8217;s logo right below\u2014both in scarlet, in high contrast to the black it sits on. The same motif repeats itself on the tongue. Finally, GORE-TEX&#8217;s own gets the most eyes as it wraps around the perimeter of the heel.<\/p>\n<p>The Humidity x Vans Skate Half Cab Sentry GTX will be available from 7th October on Humidity&#8217;s website before getting a wider release on Vans&#8217;. Information about the price hasn&#8217;t been revealed yet at the time of writing.<\/p>\n<p>Up north, Vans works with Toronto-based boutique Better Gift Shop on the <a href=\"https:\/\/snkrdunk.com\/en\/magazine\/2022\/10\/06\/better-gift-shop-x-vans-crosses-culture-with-lion-dancing-footwear\/?slide=right\">Style 36 VLT and Half Cab VLT<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a
