“CHALK”. “Big 6”. Two terms which to this day bring back some of the worst memories for any Pok\u00e9mon Video Game Championships (VGC) player\u2014both CHALK and Big 6 were, in their eras, among the most dominant VGC team archetypes ever assembled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The commonality between those two teams? Both featured Mega Kangaskhan\u2014which in those days was one of the most game-breakingly powerful Pok\u00e9mon in VGC history\u2014as a primary attacker. While it doesn’t hold that level of notoriety within the TCG, its Special Art Rare (SAR) version from Mega Symphonia [M1S]<\/a> should nonetheless be on the radars of many collectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About Mega Kangaskhan ex (Mega Symphonia [M1S] 089\/063)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The card’s Full Art illustration clearly shows the baby in Kangaskhan’s pouch having sprung out of it\u2014the defining trait of Mega Kangaskhan. Prior to the introduction of Mega Kangaskhan in Gen 6, many Pok\u00e9mon fans had been hoping that the baby Kangaskhan would someday be turned into its own Pok\u00e9mon. While this never materialized, Mega Kangaskhan could be seen as being “close enough”\u2014driving up its popularity and thus that of this card as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since this card has the rarity of SAR, its high rarity is the primary contributor to its impressive value. In addition, due to the fact that the Pok\u00e9mon depicted has an iconic status within VGC, those who became interested in the Pok\u00e9mon TCG via VGC might find this card to be one of particular appeal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In English, this card will be card 182\/132 from Mega Evolution [MEG] and will be released on 26 September 2025 along with the rest of the set.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
