COMME des GAR\u00c7ONS (CDG) has a proclivity for reviving silhouettes from their collaborators’ archives. The MO was also employed in their latest Nike collaboration, introducing a redux of the Air Max Dolce<\/a>, a model first introduced in 2002. And once more with ASICS via the CDG SHIRT subsidiary, taking on the GEL-SD LYTE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The silhouette was launched in the 2010s but had been largely overlooked as ASICS prioritized older retro models. With renewed interest in tech runners, the GEL-SD LYTE makes a timely return.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About the COMME des GAR\u00c7ONS SHIRT x ASICS GEL-SD LYTE<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Unveiled during CDG SHIRT\u2019s Paris Fashion Week show on 28 June, the collection features three colorways. Each iteration is built on a white mesh base accented with overlays in red, blue, or black. A notable design update is the extended outsole that wraps around the toe, providing a contemporary retrofitting on the classic profile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the runway, the sneakers were paired with wide trousers and relaxed tailoring, highlighting their versatility for everyday wear. While the upper retains its running shoe heritage, the refreshed tooling lends the GEL-SD LYTE a more fashion-forward appeal, typically CDG.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Release Details<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The CDG SHIRT x ASICS GEL-SD LYTE collaboration is scheduled for release in Spring 2026, with availability expected at select retailers and Dover Street Market locations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
