The third member of the Tao trio alongside Reshiram and Zekrom, Kyurem might not have received a version in the coveted Black White Rare (BWR) rarity in Pok\u00e9mon TCG dual set Black Bolt [SV11B]<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0White Flare [SV11W]<\/a> like its two counterparts\u2014but despite this, the Dragon\/Ice-type Legendary Pok\u00e9mon features on a Special Art Rare (SAR) card which is an impressive pull in its own right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About Kyurem ex (Black Bolt [SV11B] 168\/086)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Full Art illustration of this card is a direct reference to the Pok\u00e9mon Black and White video games as well as their sequels Black 2 and White 2. In those video games, Kyurem dwells in the Giant Chasm of the Unova region. When the player reaches the pond in the middle of the crater, the surrounding forest becomes blanketed in snow all at once; following this, the player gains access to the cave where Kyurem is. The image shown on this card thus depicts Kyurem ex in the Giant Chasm after it has frozen over.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The narrative element of this card as well as the fact that it contains a direct allusion to the video games are certain to elevate demand for it. Additionally, Kyurem (in its Black Kyurem and White Kyurem forms respectively) is the box Legendary of Black 2 and White 2; as such, it has an inherent level of fan popularity just from its appearance on the cover of those games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This card’s English version will be out on 18 July 2025 as part of Black Bolt [BLK].<\/p>\n\n\n\n
