The Black White Rare (BWR) Reshiram ex card was already primed to be one of the two chase cards of Pok\u00e9mon TCG dual set Black Bolt [SV11B]<\/a> and White Flare [SV11W]<\/a>. However, the latest information about that card can be expected to take the hype for it to a completely new level; it has now been found that some copies of this card will feature a misprint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About Reshiram ex (White Flare [SV11W] 174\/086)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Even without the misprint, this card was already projected to be a truly spectacular pickup. Coming in the new rarity level of BWR\u2014a rarity beyond even the coveted Special Art Rare (SAR)\u2014this Reshiram ex card comes in a stunning all-white finish that reflects its title as the Vast White Pok\u00e9mon. The Dragon\/Fire-type Legendary Pok\u00e9mon’s majestic wings are fully extended; this is likely an allusion to its dramatic entrance at N’s Castle or Dragonspiral Tower in the Pok\u00e9mon Black and Pok\u00e9mon White 2 video games respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As for the misprinted version, the misprint can be expected to take the value of the version of the card that carries it to a new level as copies of it will be limited; they’ll only be around until the misprint is corrected. The additional value that the scarcity of the misprinted version will create, when added to the already immense price tag the card will have as a card of the newly-created highest rarity and one of the set’s two chase cards, will likely make it one of the most coveted (and priciest) Pok\u00e9mon TCG cards of recent years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Release Details<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This card will be released in Japanese on 6 June 2025 as part of White Flare [SV11W] and in English on 18 July 2025 as part of White Flare [WHT].<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The sale price of a Reshiram ex (White Flare [SV11W] 174\/086) card is 65,000 JPY (~US$455); however, this figure only applies to the ordinary version. The misprinted version’s sale price won’t be known until the first copies make it to the open market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
