[Update 22 Jul 2025] A variant of this deck which includes the Brave Bangle card from White Flare [SV11W]<\/a> has been gaining traction; it’s usually attached to the Galvantula card from Night Wanderer [SV6a] to counter the Fezandipiti ex card from the same set as well as the four Ogerpon ex cards from Mask of Change [SV6]. Notably, Mahiro Kat\u014d took this deck to third place at the 2025 Japan Championships.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

[Update 4 Jul 2025] A new variant of this deck includes the Vitality Band card from the ex Starter Set Quaxly & Mimikyu ex [SVAW] as a counter against the Gardevoir ex deck. Vitality Band is usually attached to the Pikachu ex card from Super Electric Breaker [SV8]; with the damage boost that Vitality Band provides, Pikachu ex’s Topaz Bolt attack is capable of one-shotting the Gardevoir ex card from Scarlet ex [SV1S]<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Joltik Box deck is one of the newest to emerge as a viable pick in the Pok\u00e9mon TCG metagame. A deck which contains certain similarities to the Miraidon ex deck, the Joltik Box deck has made an immediate impact on the meta since its tournament debut in April 2025, with third-place finishes at the Milwaukee Regionals and Johannesburg Special Event as well as a seventh-place finish at the Monterrey Regionals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Strategy<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Unlike most other decks, the card that’s this deck’s centerpiece isn’t one of its main attackers. Instead, the Joltik card from Stellar Miracle [SV7] serves to power up the attackers by loading them up with Energy cards via its Jolting Charge attack. The deck’s three main attackers, which are typically the recipients of these Energy cards, are Miraidon ex from Violet ex [SV1V]<\/a>, Iron Hands ex from Future Flash [SV4M]<\/a>, and Pikachu ex from Super Electric Breaker [SV8]<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This deck works best when the player goes second so that the player can use Jolting Charge on the first turn. It’s imperative that the player powers up the deck’s attackers as soon as possible due to the high Energy costs of their respective attacks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each of the deck’s three attackers is used to counter specific opponents. Miraidon ex works best against decks which are built around Basic Pok\u00e9mon, including mirror matches. Iron Hands ex provides a strong matchup against decks built around Stage 2 Pok\u00e9mon as well as single-Prize Pok\u00e9mon. Finally, Pikachu ex is highly effective against decks built around Stage 1 Pok\u00e9mon as well as high-HP Basics with more HP than what Miraidon ex would be able to comfortably handle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Price<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Buying all the cards in the Joltik Box deck costs a minimum of 12,170 JPY (~US$83).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
