Forty years after a legendary display of athleticism that shattered a backboard, the impact of Michael Jordan’s powerful dunk on 26 August 1985 in Italy continues to resonate. While the memory might have faded for some, Jordan Brand reignited the iconic moment in 2015 with the highly sought-after “Shattered Backboard” Air Jordan 1 sneaker<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, in a notable convergence of milestones, 2025 marks the 40th anniversary of that thunderous dunk, the 40th year of the Jordan Brand, and the 10th anniversary of the “Shattered Backboard” AJ1 itself, which is also slated for a 2025 rerelease<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
