One of the most splashable supporting pieces seen in a wide range of red decks across the ONE PIECE Card Game metagame is the Sanji card originally from Romance Dawn [OP-01]<\/a>; it’s most commonly seen in the Red Newgate, Red Zoro, and Red Shanks decks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About Sanji (Romance Dawn [OP-01] OP01-013)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When this card is played, the player may add a card from the Life area to the hand. In addition, during the turn that it’s played, Sanji gains an extra 2000 Power before receiving up to two rested DON!! cards. This therefore makes the card an important play, especially when the player is in need of Life cards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From a collectability perspective, the standout version of this card is the one from the China-exclusive 1st Anniversary Set, released in honor of the first anniversary of the ONE PIECE Card Game’s debut in China. This card’s Parallel Art illustration features tiger and cloud patterns in the background which are clearly Chinese-influenced in their aesthetics, alluding to the fact that this card is linked to the ONE PIECE Card Game’s first anniversary in China. Adding to the card’s appeal is the fact that this is a rare genderswapped version of the usual “female character value boost” in action as Sanji is shown partially topless with his six-pack in full view.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Release Details<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Other versions of this card are out in Japanese and English; however, the 1st Anniversary Set version is exclusively in Simplified Chinese.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A copy of the Sanji (Romance Dawn [OP-01] OP01-013) card from the 1st Anniversary Set sells for 6,980 JPY (~US$49).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
