Many Yu-Gi-Oh TCG decks set themselves up for the late game by enabling the player’s side of the field to be filled up with many monster cards. If such is the scenario on the opponent’s end, one card which the player can use as counterplay is Dark Ruler No More.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When Dark Ruler No More is played, every effect of all the face-up monster cards in play which the opponents controls is negated until the end of the turn. This can serve to ruin the opponent’s carefully-crafted setup all at once\u2014especially if the player first baits out some of the opposing player’s resources, then strikes after the opponent has committed too much to the setup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For collectors, the most coveted version of this card is the Quarter Century Secret Rare iteration from Rarity Collection Quarter Century Edition. Like all other cards in Rarity Collection Quarter Century Edition, this card comes in the rarity which Konami created in honor of the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG’s 25th anniversary. It also has canonical links to other cards: the scene illustrated takes place after that shown on Skill Prisoner while two other characters appear on the card’s illustration: Dark King of the Abyss and Revived King Ha Des.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
