In conjunction with the then-recent launch of seventh-generation Pok\u00e9mon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon\u2014the sequels to Pok\u00e9mon Sun and Moon\u2014and the Episode RR arc which was exclusive to Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, the Team Rainbow Rocket\u2019s Ambition campaign was held in Japan in January 2018. The campaign saw the launch of seven promotional Pok\u00e9mon TCG cards; each of those seven cards featured Pikachu dressed as one of the villainous team leaders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About Pretend Boss Pikachu (SM-P Promotional Cards 192\/SM-P)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Released on January 20, 2018, the Pretend Boss Pikachu Team Aqua card was one of the promotional card that was part of the Team Rainbow Rocket’s Ambition campaign. During this promotion, customers who purchased five booster packs at participating Pok\u00e9mon Centers, Pok\u00e9mon Stores, or through the Pok\u00e9mon Center Online could select one of seven Pretend Boss Pikachu promotional cards. Each card featured Pikachu dressed as a different team leader, with the Team Aqua version showcasing Pikachu in an outfit resembling that of Archie, the leader of Team Aqua. \u200b<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Illustrated by Sanosuke Sakuma, the card portrays Pikachu donning Team Aqua’s signature attire, complete with the team’s emblematic bandana and uniform.
