In most cases, Pok\u00e9mon TCG cards which are first released as promotional cards don’t end up becoming serious gameplay forces. This is understandable as ideally, Creatures Inc. would like to avoid a scenario in which a major metagame piece is only accessible to certain people. However, one promotional card for which this wasn’t so was Moonlit Hill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About Moonlit Hill (SV-P Promotional Cards 095\/SV-P)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Moonlit Hill was first released as part of Pok\u00e9mon Card Gym Promo Card Pack 3 which contained one of seven promotional cards. Pok\u00e9mon Card Gym Promo Card Pack 3 was distributed to participants of Pok\u00e9mon Card Gym tournaments in Japan during the second half of 2023. On the right side of the card is the Pok\u00e9mon Card Gym logo just as is the case with all other cards in the pack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gameplay-wise, this card features in certain variants of the Gardevoir ex deck because of the synergy that Moonlit Hill has with Psychic Embrace, the Ability of the deck’s titular card from Scarlet ex [SV1S]. With this Stadium card in play, the player can discard a Psychic Energy card from the hand once per turn in order to heal 30 damage from each of the player’s Pok\u00e9mon. Psychic Embrace builds on this by providing Energy ramping, taking the newly-discarded Psychic Energy card from the discard pile and attaching it to any of the player’s Psychic Pok\u00e9mon once per turn. For a final touch, the Adrena-Brain Ability of the Munkidori card from Mask of Change [SV6]<\/a> can be used to send the two damage counters which Psychic Embrace placed on the player’s Pok\u00e9mon to one of the opponent’s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The English version of this card is card 081\/091 from Paldean Fates [PAF].<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite being a promotional card, Moonlit Hill (SV-P Promotional Cards 095\/SV-P) is very affordable. A copy sells for just 170 JPY (~US$1.14).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
