Diabellstar the Black Witch is a card which depicts the central character of the Sinful Spoils storyline\u2014one of the most compelling of all Yu-Gi-Oh character backstories. As such, many of the cards which depict her in various forms have gone on to be major hits. The latest such card from Quarter Century Art Collection is no different.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About Diabellstar the Black Witch (Quarter Century Art Collection QCAC-JP012)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A reprint of a card originally from Age of Overlord, this card was given alternate artwork in Quarter Century Art Collection just as all the other cards in it were. The new artwork shows Diabellstar the Black Witch in the classic witch’s clothing. The character shown is one of the most well-known in the entire Yu-Gi-Oh TCG, appearing in the illustrations of 14 different cards released to date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since this is a card which depicts a female character, it thus receives the value boost that usually comes with being such a card. The illustrators have played to this factor, emphasizing the character’s sex appeal\u2014so much so that some of the original version’s artwork had to be slightly censored when it was first translated into English. The card also draws inspiration from the Yu-Gi-Oh anime protagonists’ signature cards, including those from the spin-off series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This card is the direct counterpart of Diabellze the Original Sinkeeper<\/a>. Both cards feature characters who are associated with Sinful Spoils artifacts; both also have an original ATK of 2500 and an original DEF of 2000. They also have opposite attributes\u2014Diabellstar the Black Witch’s is Dark, Diabellze the Original Sinkeeper’s is Light. Both also wear clothing which feature opposite color schemes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This card has already been released in English.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A copy of a Quarter Century Secret Rare Diabellstar the Black Witch (Quarter Century Art Collection QCAC-JP012) card sells for 30,000 JPY (~US$201).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As of 24 February 2025, this card is selling at below retail price on SNKRDUNK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
