Ever since being introduced\u2014one directly, the other covertly\u2014as the two most powerful Pok\u00e9mon in existence all the way back in Gen 1, Mewtwo and Mew have remained extremely popular among the Pok\u00e9mon fanbase until today. During the late Gen 7 era in which TAG TEAM cards were around, the Mewtwo & Mew GX card thus unsurprisingly became one of its most memorable cards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About Mewtwo & Mew GX (Unified Minds 242\/236)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A card introduced in Unified Minds in three different prints, it’s the Rainbow Rare version which turned out to be the the biggest pull among them. The card’s imagery is simple yet appealing\u2014it shows Mewtwo and Mew in combat-ready poses on a card covered in rainbow holofoil. The card’s attacks, with names of “Perfection” and “Miraculous Duo GX”, are also direct allusions to Mewtwo and Mew.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There isn’t any individual element which really makes this card stand out as much as it does\u2014much of the card’s value is carried by the fact that it’s Mewtwo and Mew on a Full Art illustration card. Interestingly, this card is something of an outlier because it isn’t often that the Rainbow Rare version of a card outvalues its Special Illustration Rare version\u2014let alone by this much. That is, however, exactly what has happened in this case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Japanese, this card is card 108\/094 from Miracle Twin [SM11].<\/p>\n\n\n\n
