Ever since its initial release as part of Violet ex [SV1V], Klefki has become a vital supporting piece in many Pok\u00e9mon TCG decks. Most commonly played in the Gardevoir ex deck, the Key Ring Pok\u00e9mon has also seen use in certain variants of the Dragapult ex, Snorlax, and Lugia VSTAR decks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About Klefki (Shiny Treasure ex [SV4a] 264\/190)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The standout feature about this Klefki card has to be Mischievous Lock, its Ability. If Klefki is in the player’s Active Spot, all Basic Pok\u00e9mon in play\u2014both the player’s and the opponent’s\u2014have their Abilities turned off except for Mischievous Lock. This makes Klefki an ideal counter for fast-paced decks which often make use of Basic Pok\u00e9mon with Abilities; such decks include the Klawf\/Terapagos ex and Miraidon ex decks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The version of this card from Shiny Treasure ex [SV4a]<\/a> has appeal to collectors as well because the Steel\/Fairy-type Pok\u00e9mon is shown in its Shiny form; it therefore has the Shiny-specific rarity of S to go with it. The fact that Klefki was (and still is) a highly polarizing Pok\u00e9mon among the fandom might further increase the “aura” around the card; many oldheads regard Klefki as a clear example of “they don’t make them like they used to”, claiming that its design is “uncreative” while its backers claim that it’s an unorthodox concept\u2014but one that’s a perfect fit within the context of the Pok\u00e9mon universe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
