The release of Emperors in the New World [OP-09]<\/a> brought with it a card that’s turned out to be of considerable benefit to Yellow Enel deck players. The set’s Kuzan card has now become a key part of a new variant of the Yellow Enel deck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About<\/strong> Kuzan (Emperors in the New World [OP-09] OP09-101)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When this card depicting the ex-Fleet Admiral is played, the player places one of the opponent’s Characters with a cost of 3 or less face-up at the top or bottom of the opponent’s stack of Life cards. Following this, the opponent trashes a card from the hand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This card pairs well with the Yellow Enel deck’s defensive playstyle. By sending an opposing Character card to the opponent’s Life card stack, the player is able to drag out the game and subsequently be better positioned to develop key Character cards in the late game when this deck does most of its attacking. The card’s secondary effect which requires the opponent to trash a card from the hand widens the resource gap and could potentially disrupt the opponent’s general strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This Kuzan card is one which is primarily sought out by collectors. Coming in at a rarity of Rare (R), its value doesn’t exactly jump off the page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Release Details<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The English version of this card has already been released.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Kuzan (Emperors in the New World [OP-09] OP09-101) card isn’t expensive at all; a copy sells for just 180 JPY (~US$1.19).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
