The Pok\u00e9mon Center’s international website recently implemented a queue system to deal with periods of high traffic. This system has already been in place on its Japanese website for years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Starting from 30 January 2025, visitors during these high-traffic periods would be redirected to a virtual waiting room\u2014a page to be left open without being refreshed. Once the Pok\u00e9mon Center’s internal system determines that it’s the visitor’s turn to enter, the visitor would be redirected to the website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This queue system was likely implemented following the website’s failure to cope with the flood of visitors who showed up to purchase Prismatic Evolutions [PRE]<\/a> and Journey Together [JTG]<\/a> products on the first day that each of them was made available and the ensuing criticism from the fandom.
