Although Royal Blood [OP-10]<\/a>, a ONE PIECE Card Game set released in November 2024, was centered around the Dressrosa Saga of the One Piece manga, none of its standout cards featured Donquixote Rosinante. This may have come as something rather unexpected to some because one of the most notable sections of the Dressrosa Saga was the exposition of Rosinante’s backstory. That said, while this Parallel Art reprint of a Rosinante card came quite some time after the release of Royal Blood [OP-10], it’s no less an impressive pickup for that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About Donquixote Rosinante (Awakening of the New Era [OP-05] OP05-022) <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The original version of this card was released as part of Awakening of the New Era [OP-05]. The Rosinante card in question is thus one of the slew of Leader cards which have recently been reprinted; all of these reprinted cards come in the rarity of L-SPC. The card’s illustration alludes to a running joke throughout the manga’s chapters detailing Rosinante’s backstory; although not outright depicted, Rosinante is about to accidentally burn his cowl with the fire from the cigarette he just lighted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The card also includes an indirect allusion to a major fan-favorite character among the One Piece fandom\u2014Trafalgar Law, who was once Rosinante’s prot\u00e9g\u00e9. Rosinante’s heart motif can clearly be seen on his hood and shirt; following Rosinante’s death, Law took up much of the same heart symbolism that once belonged to his mentor\u2014even going so far as to name his crew the “Heart Pirates”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This card has already been released in English.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Donquixote Rosinante (Awakening of the New Era [OP-05] OP05-022) card in the rarity of L-SPC has a price of 5,000 JPY (~US$32).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
