Despite having been released almost a year and a half ago in preparation for the Pok\u00e9mon World Championships 2023 which were held in Yokohama from 11 to 13 August 2023, the 2023 Pok\u00e9mon World Championships Yokohama Deck: Pikachu [WCS23] remains highly popular with Pok\u00e9mon TCG fans to this day. It’s a one-of-a-kind product which no other edition of the Pok\u00e9mon World Championships has ever had.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About the 2023 Pok\u00e9mon World Championships Yokohama Deck: Pikachu [WCS23]<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The 2023 Pok\u00e9mon World Championships Yokohama Deck: Pikachu [WCS23] is intended to be a 60-card Pok\u00e9mon TCG which is playable right from the jump. Although it’s not metagame-viable in any way, the point of this product is to commemorate the Pok\u00e9mon World Championships 2023 which was the first and so far only iteration of Worlds to ever be held in Japan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The highlight of the deck is a special Full Art reprint of a Pikachu card<\/a> originally from the ex Starter Set Pikachu ex & Pawmot [SVC]. That card’s illustration depicts Pikachu in combat against also features Koraidon and Miraidon\u2014the Legendary Pok\u00e9mon which are the mascots of ninth-generation main-series video games Pok\u00e9mon Scarlet and Violet. The card has the logo of the Pok\u00e9mon World Championships 2023 in its bottom-right corner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bundled with the 2023 Pok\u00e9mon World Championships Yokohama Deck: Pikachu [WCS23] are 64 card sleeves, a coin, a set of damage and status counters, and an aluminium deck tin. The imagery on the lower half of the deck tin which features Sprigatito, Fuecoco, Quaxly, and Pikachu emphasizes the Japan-centric nature of Worlds in 2023 by including aesthetic elements linked to Japan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
