The original build of the Regigigas deck made use of all six Regis in order to maximize the capabilities of the deck’s titular Regigigas card from Time Gazer [S10D]. However, following the release of Super Electric Breaker [SV8], it was soon found that the set’s Pikachu ex card worked well in tandem with Regigigas and the other Regis; however, the Regigigas\/Pikachu ex deck’s setup ended up being very different to that of the Regigigas deck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Strategy<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The main attackers of the Regigigas\/Pikachu ex deck are Pikachu ex as well as the Radiant Greninja card from Battle Region [S9a]. Instead, Regigigas is used as a supporting piece. If all five of the other Regis are on the Bench, its Ability of Ancient Wisdom allows the player to attach three Energy cards from the discard pile to any of the player’s Pok\u00e9mon in play.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With two copies of Regigigas in play, it becomes much easier to power up Pikachu ex’s Topaz Bolt attack. Although Topaz Bolt dishes out a massive 300 damage, its Energy requirement of Grass\/Electric\/Steel is ordinarily rather awkward; Ancient Wisdom makes fulfilling it much easier. Similarly, Radiant Greninja’s Moonlight Shuriken attack, typically used to snipe vulnerable opposing Benched Pok\u00e9mon, also benefits from the Energy ramping provided by Regigigas’ Ability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The most important Trainer cards in this deck are Area Zero Underdepths from Stellar Miracle [SV7] and Precious Trolley from Stellar Tera Type Starter Set Sylveon ex [SVLN]<\/a>. Area Zero Underdepths, a Stadium card, expands the maximum size of the player’s Bench from the usual 5 to 8, allowing Pikachu ex\u2014the Terastallized Pok\u00e9mon that activates Area Zero Underdepth’s effect when put into play\u2014to be used alongside the six Regis as well as Radiant Greninja. Precious Trolley, meanwhile, is an ACE SPEC Item card to be used after Area Zero Underdepths has been played in order to rapidly fill up the player’s Bench.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Price<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Buying all the cards in the Regigigas\/Pikachu ex deck costs a minimum of 7,690 JPY (~US$47).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
