Eighth-generation dual Pok\u00e9mon TCG sets Single Strike Master [S5I], and Rapid Strike Master [S5R] were both centered around Urshifu, the Legendary Pok\u00e9mon introduced in Pok\u00e9mon Sword and Shield DLC The Isle of Armor. Both sets were named after the form of Urshif,u which appears on their respective headliner card\u2014and unsurprisingly, both turned out to be seriously impressive pulls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About Single Strike Urshifu VMAX (Single Strike Master [S5I] 085\/070)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This Single Strike Urshifu VMAX card depicts the Gigantamaxed version of Urshifu’s Fighting\/Dark-type Single Strike form. The clouds of Dynamax energy\u2014the force that allows Pok\u00e9mon to turn into their gargantuan Dynamaxed or Gigantamaxed forms\u2014surrounding Single Strike Urshifu VMAX match the blood-red background; both bring out the utter ferocity of the Pok\u00e9mon said by the Pok\u00e9dex to be the embodiment of pure rage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Single Strike Urshifu VMAX is shown as being about to unleash its devastating signature move\u2014G-Max One Blow, an attack present both on this card and in the Pok\u00e9mon video games. True to its name, G-Max One Blow has a base damage of 270 in the TCG\u2014enough to one-shot a wide range of Pok\u00e9mon (though perhaps not quite living up to the lore described in the Pok\u00e9dex). Add in a rarity of Hyper Rare (HR) and it can be easily seen why this card ended up being one of the standouts of its set.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
