All eight Eeveelutions as well as Eevee itself received all-new Terastallized Pok\u00e9mon-ex versions in Terastal Festival ex [SV8a]<\/a>, the newest Pok\u00e9mon TCG set. Each of these cards, such as this Vaporeon ex card, came in Special Art Rare (SAR) and have therefore emerged as being among the leading pulls of the set. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

About Vaporeon ex (Terastal Festival ex [SV8a] 205\/187)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The obvious points to mention are this card’s rarity of SAR as well as the fact that it features an Eeveelution\u2014both qualities which will undoubtedly elevate the card’s value. Additionally, among the three OG Eeveelutions, Vaporeon is the most popular\u2014in part due to its status as part of a certain meme (which we won’t be discussing further).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The card’s Full Art illustration not only matches Vaporeon as the Water-type Eeveelution; the fact that it’s specifically bubbles used to represent the Water type is a direct reference to Vaporeon as well in multiple ways. According to the Pok\u00e9dex, Vaporeon is categorized as the Bubble Jet Pok\u00e9mon. In addition, its signature attack in Pok\u00e9mon: Let’s Go, Eevee, the seventh-generation remakes of first-generation video games Pok\u00e9mon Yellow is Bouncy Bubble. Finally, the Fire\/Water\/Electric Energy requirement of Vaporeon ex’s Aquamarine attack references its status alongside Jolteon and Flareon as one of the first three Eeveelutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It isn’t yet known if this version of the Vaporeon ex card will be launched in English.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A copy of a Vaporeon ex (Terastal Festival ex [SV8a] 205\/187) card sells for 4,500 JPY (~US$30).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
