The proverb advises against resting on one’s laurels, but legacy brands such as New Balance have such a storied pedigree that the revival of their archival silhouettes has worked in their favor. They have unearthed forgotten gems and reimagined them for a contemporary audience. The 740, a relatively obscure silhouette from the early 2010s, is now given new life thanks to a collaborative effort with Concepts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Concepts x New Balance 740 blends earthy tones and bold touches. The upper, constructed from a gradient mesh, transitions from a deep olive green to a lighter shade, complemented by premium leather overlays in a rich beige hue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, orange accents punctuate the design, particularly on the leather lining on the heel overlay and tongue. Metallic gold branding on the midfoot and heel further enhances its overall aesthetic. The 740’s original sole unit is a mainstay. Lastly, a cork insole references the natural world and aligns with Concepts’ commitment to sustainable materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
