The Memento deck has seen a somewhat unexpected ascension in the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG metagame. As recently as one to two months ago, it wasn’t even being considered as a potential threat within the meta. However, the release of Supreme Darkness<\/a> as well as the imposing and removal of new card bans and restrictions have altered the meta to the point at which this deck now thrives. Mementoal Tecuhtlica – Combined Creation is the most important card of that deck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once the player Special Summons Mementoal Tecuhtlica – Combined Creation, the player can then use it to attack all of the monsters that the opponent controls once each as long as the player doesn’t control any other monsters at the time. This therefore works well with the Memento deck because the deck’s primary strategy involves the destruction of the player’s own monsters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, once per turn except during the Damage Step, when the opponent activates a card or effect, this card can be used to Special Summon a Memento monster from the hand or Graveyard. This often serves as a crucial anti-disruptive measure while also usually improving the player’s board situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From a collector’s perspective, the card’s highest rarity is Secret Rare. It’s also the cover card of Deck Build Pack: Valiant Smashers; this elevates the card’s value. Finally, this card has a feature which will impress both players and collectors: it has the joint-highest original ATK and original DEF of all gameplay-legal monster cards, with 5000 in both statistics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
