2024 marks 50 years since CASIO debuted in the watch world with the CASIOTRON QW02, the first digital watch with an automatic calendar function. To celebrate this milestone, CASIO will unveil the “Zero to One” collection, featuring five timepieces inspired by iconic designs from CASIOTRON, G-SHOCK, EDIFICE, PRO TREK, and BABY-G.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All five watches share a sleek black-and-gold color scheme, symbolizing the first flicker of light breaking through the darkness. Each timepiece also features special design elements, giving it a distinct look befitting half a century of CASIO innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A motif of 0s and 1s is incorporated into various parts, including the inset dial, case back, and outer perimeter. The case back also showcases engravings of the triangular pattern from the original CASIOTRON QW02.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, the watches come in specially designed, environmentally responsible packaging made from recycled materials, complete with a cotton pouch for storing accessories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CASIOTRON TRN-50ZE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This watch is based on the TRN-50, a timepiece that reimagines the design of the original CASIOTRON QW02 while incorporating modern features like standard time radio wave reception, Mobile Link connectivity, and solar charging. A single gold-colored link stands out on the otherwise black band, laser-engraved with “50th ANNIVERSARY”.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

G-SHOCK GMC-B2100ZE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This watch is based on the GMC-B2100, a full-metal, shock-resistant G-SHOCK chronograph with an octagonal bezel. A single link, treated with gold IP, stands out on the otherwise black band, engraved with “50th ANNIVERSARY”. A motif of 0s and 1s, applied with transparent printing, adorns the outer perimeter of the face.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

EDIFICE EFS-S640ZE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This watch is based on the EFS-S640, an EDIFICE model featuring a case, dial, and other components crafted with carbon-fiber materials, embodying the brand\u2019s concept of “Speed and Intelligence”. A gold-colored metal band loop, engraved with “50th ANNIVERSARY”, stands out on the otherwise black band. The band loop is made from Alcantara, a sophisticated Italian material known for its exceptional functionality.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

PRO TREK PRW-6900ZE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This watch is based on the PRW-6900, a timepiece with an octagonal face from the PRO TREK line of outdoor watches. A single metal link, treated with gold IP and engraved with “50th ANNIVERSARY”, stands out on the otherwise black Field Composite Band, which incorporates metal inserts. The key resin components are made from bio-based resin, a material designed to reduce environmental impact.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

BABY-G BGD-S565ZE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Based on the BGD-565, a digital model with a simple, iconic design from the BABY-G line of shock-resistant watches for women, this timepiece is the first in the brand to feature bio-based resin and the Tough Solar charging system. Metal band rings, treated with gold IP, stand out on the otherwise black band.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Release Details<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Priced from 209 SGD (~US$155) to 1,099 SGD (~US$816), the CASIO “Zero to One” collection will officially launch online and in stores on 22 November 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To mark the occasion, the series includes exclusive in-store gifts: a special 50th anniversary sticker with the purchase of any “Zero to One” watch, and a bandana with the purchase of the CASIOTRON TRN-50ZE-1A, available exclusively to CASIO ID Members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These limited-edition items, designed by artist Kosuke Kawamura, offer an artful, exclusive touch for those who value fashion and sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
