[Update 28 Dec] New images have surfaced offering us a live look and closeup of the pair. It emits luxury through its premium, multi-material construction of leather, Leno-Weave, suede, and patent leather. Finishing touches are applied through the Jayson Tatum Mustang logo on the tongue and the red, white, and blue stripes on the pull tab.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A release date hasn’t been disclosed but with in light of these new images, there’s a modicum of hope they’re not strictly a PE.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jayson Tatum first debuted the pair sometime in April, during last season’s Playoff game against the Nets where he took over with 19 points, 10 assists and 6 rebounds to come from behind and win the game for the Celtics.<\/p>\n

There were two “Mustangs” that he came in with that day, this AJ 36 which he wore on-court, and an AJ 14 PE he wore just for the ‘runway’ to the locker room; Nike’s gift for his 23rd birthday. For awhile the former was thought to be a Player Exclusive but now it seems it’s too hot to be contained.<\/p>\n

Arriving in an all-black color scheme, the “Mustang” is tuned up with tight-knit mesh construction with subtle patent leather overlays. More sleek is added on the hood through the glossy wax accents along the toe, with a metallic silver lining traversing around the tongue and laces, leading to a leather pull tab carrying a special Jumpman racing insignia.<\/p>\n

In line with the American muscle motif, and as a nod to JT’s love for cars, racing accents permeate the design through the red-tinted spoiler and stripped heel pull tabs. His son, Deuce is referenced by way of embroidery on the underside of the tongue before finishing off with a mismatched “Jayson” and “Tatum” imprint on the insoles.<\/p>\n

He’ll likely be wearing the Air Jordan 37 moving through the upcoming season which you can check out here<\/a>. A release is near too.<\/p>\n
