[Update 11 Dec 2024] Official images of all four silhouettes in the Nike 2025 Ekiden Collection have arrived by way of Sole Retriever<\/a>. The silhouettes are, by name: Nike Zoom Fly 6 “Ekiden”, Nike Air Zoom Alphafly NEXT% 3 “Ekiden”, Nike ZoomX Vaporfly NEXT% 3 FK “Ekiden”, and Nike Air Zoom Rival Fly 4 “Ekiden”.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

About the Nike 2025 Ekiden Collection<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Drawing inspiration from the grueling Ekiden races, Nike has curated an array of performance footwear that pushes the boundaries of speed and comfort. The Alphafly 3, Rival Fly 4, Vaporfly 3, and Zoom Fly 6, each a masterpiece of engineering, are designed to empower runners and help them achieve their full potential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each one is adorned with a distinctive flame graphic reminiscent of the torches carried during the night stages of the Ekiden. This design element is a nod to the Air Streak Spectrum Plus, a legendary running shoe from 2002 that revolutionized the sport. Adding Japanese kanji characters further reinforces the collection’s cultural significance and inspires runners to strive for greatness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ekiden Collection extends beyond footwear, encompassing a range of apparel, such as a Windrunner jacket and a classic long-sleeve T-shirt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The campaign for the Ekiden Collection, titled “Let Your Fire Run,” features renowned athletes from Chuo, Komazawa, Tokai, and Toyo Universities. It highlights the arduous journey of an Ekiden runner, emphasizing the importance of perseverance and overcoming challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kosuke Ishida, an Ekiden runner from Toyo University, shares his enthusiasm for the collection: \u201cThe Ekiden Pack supports runners from daily training to race day by letting you select the right shoes to match your needs, whether it’s the Rival Fly for easy runs, the Zoom Fly for faster distance runs, or the Vaporfly or Alphafly for speed training and the race.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Ekiden is a race where the items you wear also attract attention, so running in distinctive shoes motivates you to push your limits. This year\u2019s flame design really gets me fired up for the race.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Release Details<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The 2025 Nike Ekiden Collection will be available in Japan on 22 November, followed by a global release on 4 December.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
