The Fiendsmith engine has been running rampant through the Yu-Gi-Oh metagame. All but five of the participants at the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG World Championship 2024<\/a> used a deck which included Fiendsmith cards for support purposes. With the release of Supreme Darkness and the Fiendsmith’s Rex Tremendae that came as part of it, the Fiendsmith engine’s dominance can be expected to continue\u2014at least in the East.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About Fiendsmith’s Rex Tremendae (Supreme Darkness SUDA-JP037)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

With the introduction of Fiendsmith’s Rex Tremendae, the recent restrictions placed upon Fiendsmith Engraver and Fiendsmith\u2019s Tract in tournaments held in Japan and Asia-Pacific have now been circumvented. Interrestingly, this benefit doesn’t apply to players in the West because outside Japan and Asia-Pacific, the Fiendsmith’s Lacrima card from Infinite Forbidden is completely banned from tournament play; Fiendsmith’s Lacrima is the card which when used as Fusion material, maximizes the capabilities of Fiendsmith’s Rex Tremendae.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This card is available in Quarter Century Secret Rare; it also benefits from the value boost granted to it by displaying a female character. There’s also a storyline within this card; according to the in-universe lore, Fiendsmith Engraver spared the life of Lacrima the Crimson Tears before recruiting her; the two went on to combine to become Fiendsmith’s Lacrima, the card usually used to set up Fiendsmith’s Rex Tremendae.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This card releases in English on 23 January 2025 with the rest of Supreme Darkness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Buying a copy of a Fiendsmith’s Rex Tremendae (Supreme Darkness SUDA-JP037) card costs 3,500 JPY (~US$23).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
