The Champion of the Sinnoh region who serves as the final boss of fourth-generation Pok\u00e9mon video games Pok\u00e9mon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum as well as their Gen 8 remakes Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, Cynthia is one of the most iconic characters in the history of the Pok\u00e9mon franchise. As such, it was only to be expected that her corresponding Pok\u00e9mon TCG card turned out to be a megahit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About Cynthia (GX Ultra Shiny [SM8b] 153\/150)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This Super Rare (SR) card’s Full Art illustration depicts Sinnoh’s most powerful Trainer alongside Garchomp, her ace Pok\u00e9mon. This is likely to win over many fans because Cynthia’s Garchomp serves as the climax of one of the most memorable boss fights in the entire Pok\u00e9mon franchise. Her Lucario is also shown; not only is the Fighting\/Steel-type one of the most popular Pok\u00e9mon; it’s also shown here in its Shiny form. This undoubtedly adds further value to the card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of course, there’s the fact that this is a card featuring a female character in a Full Art illustration. Finally, the release of Pok\u00e9mon Legends: Arceus, the prequel to Diamond and Pearl, indirectly revealed a considerable amount of Cynthia’s backstory through Volo, the final boss of the post-game segment who’s implied to have links to Cynthia\u2014so much so that many fans have theorized that he was intended to be Cynthia’s ancestor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
