Although seventh-generation Pok\u00e9mon TCG set Shining Legends [SM3+] was, as is implied by its name, centered around Shiny Pok\u00e9mon, one of the standouts of the set wasn’t one of these alternate-hued ‘mons. One of four cards in the set that came in a rarity of Hyper Rare (HR), Mewtwo GX, to this day, ranks as one of the biggest pulls of any Gen 7 set.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About Mewtwo GX (Shining Legends [SM3+] 080\/072)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Like all cards with a rarity of HR, Mewtwo GX comes in a Full Art illustration covered in rainbow holofoil. The card’s immense rarity, coupled with the visuals, greatly elevate this card’s value. In addition, as the original “game-breakingly overpowered Pok\u00e9mon”, Mewtwo is one of the single most iconic Pok\u00e9mon ever; this supplies the card with additional fan appeal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mewtwo GX was the headliner of Shining Legends [SM3+]; four versions of the card were released with this one ending up being the most coveted of the lot. Its status as the set headliner gives this card even more value. Somewhat surprisingly, this card fetches an even higher price than its Shiny counterpart from the same set.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
